Great atmosphere created by the locals, the owners, the dog called George and, the roaring open fires. Food and the quality of service was very good on this Valentines night and the friendly banter from the landlord of golfing matters was most endearing. Apparently a little while ago they received a golf challenge from a team at the Falcon at Woore whom I know to be top class and a quickly scrambled team from the White Lion answered the challenge with a splendid and noble victory led by a most inspiring Captain. My wife, Alison and I always enjoy this pub and we shall be back soon.

The White Lion at Knighton is a wonderful country pub, with a warm fire and a warm welcome. The food is consistant and home made. A wonderful atmosphere. I would recomend it highly.
