went to this pub little over 6 weeks ago and had a very nice sunday lunch with my husband...... went back this time with my daughter and two yr old grandaughter also my five yr old niece..... to cut long terrible story short the coffee we asked for when we arrived was cold! the roast beef lunch for myself and grandaughter was not only cold but the yorkshire puddind was worse than a little burnt (chard) and to top it off the whole thing tasted of cleaning fluid!!!!!!! my daughter and niece had not much better luck with thier food both being very cold when served......when asked if all was ok by the girl on service i complained!!!! only to have a dirty look thrown at me and asked if i would like to speak to the owner!!!! when he did make an apperance he was little more than off with me..... was made to feel like i didnt have a right to complain.... i also told him that the other couple sat near us had been telling us that they had thought thier meals tasted like cleaning fluid and had sent the first pint back because that had also tasted tainted!!! the owner gave me a half hearted sorry or at least that what i think he said as he didnt speak very clear at the best of times!!!!!!! my point was i had already fed my little grandaughter that food!!!! didnt pay for any of the food as i refused or the drinks!!!!!! ruined what should have been a nice day out for my family.............. will NOT ever go back..........

Don't know where "Anon" and friends went for their night out, but it couldn't have been the same Four Crosses I know. I visited that inn with various friends at least three times during the same month/year as "Anon" and it was a delight every time. Welcoming bar staff, friendly landlord/lady, good beer, good food, great prices. Will definitely return to the area to enjoy this lovely old inn and it's splendid hospitality again!

we went to the four crosses and we were very impressed with the management. the service on the bar was brilliant. i was served one of the best real ales i have ever had, crystal clear and very nice. we were escorted up to the restaurant where we were seated and treated really well by all of the staff. i couldnt fault the food at all it was devine with reasonable prices to follow. i will be going back to the four crosses again very immpressed.

We live locally and use the Fox a lot near Chetwynd Aston which is faultless. However we fancied trying somewhere new so booked the four crosses with friends. Upon forst appearances I was very excited as it really looked "the part". However I have got to say it was the worst £50 we have ever spent. The ale was dreadful, which my husband sent back, and they told us there was nothig wrong with it-with attitude. And the meal was ok ish but very very overpriced for what it was. It was the service that disappointed us the most. Really rude unfreindly staff. There were only 8 people in the restaurant from 7.30-11pm which speaks for itself, where if went to the fox 7 miles down the road it would be full!! Also the first thing we were told when we went in that it was cash only as the tills had broke?!?! Bad sign?? Will definately NOT be goin there ever again. How wrong appearemces can be!!
