Wonderful 5 Nights - food excellent! newspaper outside room door every morning without fail! Guest lounge very comfortable. staff very helpful - couldn't fault Maybe mattresses could be changed though as we had 2 single beds and both my husband and myself agreed beds were too soft and uncomfortable!! Grounds "out of this world in fact I remarked that if you were unable to travel far you could spend all day in grounds by lake (black swans) and ducks pheasants trotting around grounds. sweet church walkable down long drive. Perfect will book again - later this year.

We got married in Dumbleton Hall and I could not fault it if I tried. It has recently been decorated and truly was fantastic. The venue, service and food were all excellent. Some of our wedding guests have already booked to return for short breaks. I still cannot believe how much effort was put into ensuring we were happy. My parents have already decided to make Dumbleton there choice for Sunday lunch on a regular basis. I would say to anyone who wants to enjoy a weekend break or even wants to find a wedding venue go to Dumbleton Hall!

My aunt was visiting from Holland and I drove her around the local countryside which was wonderful. I thought I would treat her to a cup of coffee at Dumbleton Hall but what a disappointment (with a capital D!). We were shown into the bar which looked tired and unloved (as had the entrance hall) and when the coffee arrived it tasted dreadful. The spoons were so sticky we were left with sticky fingers. Biscuits could have been ordered seperately but just one served with the coffee would have shown some thought. Perhaps I was expecting too much but I would have enjoyed coffee at Morrisons better and things would have been very different in Holland. I left feeling ashamed of England and very sorry for all the people who were booking in. I have no desire to return.
