Good Points: The Carlyon Bay Hotel was booked at the last minute when all flights were cancelled recently. It turned out to be a lovely hotel in a beautiful location with excellent faciities - Spa & Golf. Spotlessly clean, exceptionally comfortable (lounges and rooms) with polite, approachable and friendly staff. Bad Points: One member of staff in the restaurant on the Wednesday morning breakfast serving was a little surley in her approach and did not attempt, despite passing the table on several occasions, to clear the table as we were trying to fit plates around used dishes. Another member of staff came to our "rescue" and cleared for us. I must reitterate - all other staff at all times were excellent! General review: For a last minute booking sourced via the internet this turned out to be a really lovely all round experience. It has definitely re-awakened my diesire to take more holidays in this country!!

Absolutely superb - the customer service from every staff member we encountered was excellent. They were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were equally as good and the hotel was so clean, there was nothing we could fault. We occupied two standard twin rooms - both contained everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The food was to die for - all in all we were very impressed. The views from the hotel lounge were stunning - we had a heavenly break. This is one hotel we would definately recommend - we will be returning again.

A hotel in a wonderful location, with quite stunning views. That is the good bit . We were very disappointed with the quality of service . Many staff just do not know their 'trade'. Food was very poor which really surprised us snd restaurant service was awful. The bedrooms were adequate, but we did have a 'De-luxe' room. I cannot imagine what a standard room would be like.We spent £896.00 on a three night stay. A great deal of wasted money . Be warned!!
