Me, my husband and large family party stayed at this charming Inn on the weekend of a family wedding. Rooms were nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. The pub has a lovely cosy atmosphere and both the beer & food were excellent. The managers, Geoff & Pam were fantastic hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a transport dilemma on the day of the wedding, making it awkward for my husband to get to his daughter's (the bride)house and for the rest of the family to get to the church. Pam & Geoff stepped into the breach and very kindly ferried husband and family to our respective destinations which we were all really grateful for. All in all we had a great stay and would'nt hesitate in recommending the Boot & Shoe to anyone. If we ever needed to stay in the area again we would definately book to stay here again.

My great and great great grandparents (Smalleys and Johnsons) came from Flintham...and tracing their whereabouts was my reason for visiting the village. Some friends had been for a meal at The Boot and Shoe a few weeks before and suggested we call in. We called in for a lunchtime drink and a light snack in preparation for exploring and searching for gravestones in the churchyard.. Very comfortable and homely pub. Good menu, swift service, although we were the only people in the pub. The Landlord serves "A good pint" my husband said. The Landlord (sorry! should have asked his name) was very helpful in giving me information that he thought would be useful.
