food was bland. waited over 1 hour. service was poor. manager was pompus self opionated fool.no personal touch. and would not visit again

Stopped there for lunch. Found that we were the only people there and except for one drinker remained so for over an hour. The serving time for the meals was very long. Food was mediocre and the bread roll was so old that it was impossible to either break or cut it! On leaving we noticed a sign outside saying "Would you like to rent this pub?" Now I wonder why that is. Cannot understand why it has positive reviews on some sites. Maybe we visited on a bad day or perhaps it may be better in the evenings. We will never know.
