Early evening visit never beeen before will never go again. found that one member of the staff older chap seemed cocky and sure of himself, came across like he'd had a few too many beers. I dont mind friendly banter, however I don't like staff that are over friendly either.

We have been going to the poacher for the last few months we both eat there and drink there, when we have eaten there we find the food basic and a little over priced, and the staff seem a little not interested, giggling between them selves and quite rude to customers, however when we are in the other side just to drink the staff seem friendly, just been taken over by newbies, they seem very friendly and are trying to hold different things in the pub, ie this week charity week, good family fun, quizes on a sunday are improving slowly, more entertainment nights ar eneeded, beer resonabley priced very well kept, fgood taste, usually offer son wine buy two glasses have rest bottle free, worth a visit.

Well we have just moved to the area, and we found the poacher to be very friendly, even though we had been there before to eat, but this time it was to ge tthe feel for the place so it will hopefully become our local, the toilets were very clean, very nice place, probably our local for the next few years! Could do with more entertainment nights though, look forward to the race night inh march!
