We stayed at the Jolly Drayman, Gravesend whilst visiting friends..The owners were welcoming but we have to say the room was 'basic' in the extreme, the heating was 'broken' and there was no effort made to give us a replacement heater. I spent the 1st hour cleaning the shower, toilet and bathroom floor to an acceptable standard..the towels were absolutely disgraceful, worn and instead of being white they were blue/grey and looked like floorcloths!! We did draw this to the attention of the owners and they deducted the breakfast costs from our bill...the breakfasts were served on cold plates and were greasy, the room was cold and not particularly clean. All in all NOT an experience we would repeat but having said all that we would be wrong to say anything other than the staff were friendly people, shame, this COULD be a great little hotel given the care.
