Good Points: The staff were all very helpful and polite.
Bad Points: The room was badly in need of decorating and the bathroom really needed cleaning properly!
General review: I feel that a bit more care could be put into the cleaning and general hygiene in the rooms. The hotel did seem nice and quiet and i wasn't disturbed by any other guests around me.

Good Points: Comfortable and clean, excellent room service, staff very helpful. Convenient location for general sightseeing and public transport.
Bad Points: Lack of lift was a slight disadvantage.
General Review: Information on website gave us most of what we needed to know for our visit. Good selection of 'attractions' literature on display in reception area, however, we imagine many people staying at the hotel had come to Glasgow to visit Rennie Mackintosh sites (no doubt like us this was reason we booked this hotel), it would have been very helpful if the reception had had details of sites and how to they could be reached by public transport.

Good Points: inexpensive and central in Glasgow
Bad Points: The bed mattress had little cushioning left and one can feel the hard spring coils. The TV set either did not have a remote control or it was missing, and the TV was badly tuned. The wash basin did not have a plug. There were a few pieces of broken glass on the toilet/shower room floor. You can sometimes feel vibration because the room is adjacent to the train tracks.
General Review: I specified for two non-smoking rooms online. It is only after the booking was confirmed and credit card details given that the confirmation email came with a small note saying that the selected options cannot be guaranteed!! Luckily I queried with the hotel straightaway. The system had reserved two smoking rooms, even though the hotel did have non-smoking rooms still available. The breakfast was good.
