Great pub, when in Hertford a must visit. Staff are excellent, friendly, drinks are very well priced and the pub has a great vibe. Newly renovated a must visit pub, that has a lot of history and feel. Steve and Hannah the publicans go out of their way to make you feel at home. 5 stars

WOW First time staying in Hertford and we chose The Ram, Fabulous pub, stunning great value for money rooms, Fantastic friendly staff, do not go here if you want peace and tranquility it is a pub with rooms above and as Hertford is a vibrant town with pubs and clubs, at turn out times you will here it in your room, but this didnt bother us at all.We enjoyed it, it was lovely to be in the centre of everything Hertford town has to offer with Loch fyne resturant a more aless next door. The room we stayed in had excellent bathroom with not only a bath big enough to almost swim in, a power shower that was lush beds well sprung, extremely clean room, complimentry bottled water hot chocolate tea and coffee to sink a battle ship and such gorgeous spelling linen. You really get your moneys worth. Fully reccommend

"The Ram" as well as having the convenience of being in the centre of Town has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, and has a much brighter lighter airy, atmosphere. often with Live music at weekends and tasteful background music throughout the week, the tasteful redecoration has made a very good pub even better. The ales although only Mc Mullen on offer are well kept and are locally brewed . the landlord landlady and staff are very friendly and hospitable with an extensive local knowledge. a mixture of traditional open log fires combined with contemporary decor. and a convivial atmosphere make "The Ram better than its ever been, and definately worth a visit one of the few real pubs left in Hertford town centre.
