Recently stayed at Theobalds Park Hotel and noticed an advert for the Prince of Wales public house at Goffs Oak, just down the road, so we decided to give it a try for an evening meal,it was not the easiest place to find for someone not knowing the area but I'm glad we did, it really was worth the visit, so much so that we returned on the following night for another meal. The food was excellent,well presented, well thought out menu,with specialsboard and pleasant staff who checked to make sure eveything was to our liking. Wished I lived in the area, would use this pub regularly. Like all good things just one very minor moan, on our second visit we arrived Sunday night at 20.55 ask somebody about an item on the menu and was told food was not served after 21.00,so could have missed out on what was an enjoyable evening. But all the same would recommend this establishment without hesitation.
