well we booked by phone a sea view room as it was a special occasion, upon arrival we were put in a standard room with views of car park and rubbish bins. receptionist said no record of us wanting sea view and that room now taken anyway. she was not very helpful and never even apologised or smiled once. very annoying! on a positive note the room we got was clean and well decorated and spacious, the hotel itself very nice indeed. all other staff seemed pleasant apart from that receptionist. however, because of the room mix up we wont ever go back too many other nice hotels in scarborough!
