If you want a wonderful Thai experience without any pretension, then you should try The Star. The choice was extensive, food was exquisite and the price is very reasonable. Being a pub, they have plenty of beers on tap or an extensive wine list and really friendly staff. I really could not fault it. Booking would be advised, but we did manage to squeeze in late on Saturday. Really impressed and will be going back there soon.

My husband and I are regular customers here. We stayed to celebrate valentine's. The Rooms are spacious, clean and bright and well equipped. We ate in the pub, which serves fantastic Chinese and Thia food with many fresh fish specials and locally hand made desserts. The food is always fresh and excellent. A good selection of beers, wines and spirits too. The full english breakfast in the morning was excellent and huge. Ian and nikki are friendly and could not be more helpful as is all the staff. Can't wait to stay again.
