Had sunday roast at the roebuck. The worst weve had. The potatoes werent anywhere near roasted. The veg was undercooked and the gravy was so thick and lumpy. No apple sauce with the pork or horseraddish with the beef. The staff seemed muddled and certainly not attentive.

This is one of my favourite haunts, to which I am always proud to introduce various friends. Mark and Steve make ideal hosts and there is always a warm welcome for everyone. The food is delicious, varied and served by pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Mark is a gifted pianist who delights his clientele with his music over Sunday lunch.

Mothers Day menu. The restaurant is well appointed, close to home. The decor is quirky but effective, the general "feel" is nice, the welcome and attention was great but, sorry but the food was a real let down. School dinner - ish at best. I'm not going to rant and we didn't complain at the time (it was Mothers Day after all) but we won't be going back any time soon.

Today will be my 4th visit, a 15 mile journey that is justified. The atmosphere and service is extremly good with a high standard of food. Always an enjoyable experience.

What a beautiful place. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the food was so delicious. There was a good selection and the price reasonable to suit all pockets. Will definately visit again when we are there this Month (June 2005)
