David and Ken are marvellous. Very reliable and always willing to help out reliable customers. If you want a fly by night firm who may not be there to pick you up - don't call Shireways!

I ordered a taxi from Shireways Taxis mid afternoon on 30th September, from Church Lock to Leighton Buzzard Station. The taxi turned up from the Town Centre within 10 minutes. The driver was smoking a cigar in the taxi, which he stopped at my request.
The journey into town, a distance of under 3 miles, cost £12 and took me through static traffic most of the way. If he could pick me up from the town centre in under 10 minutes, I strongly suspect that he could have done better by using a different route. £12 is an outrageous price for that journey.
As I had mentioned that I wanted to make a purchase from a shop, he asked if I wanted to be dropped by a shop rather than at the station. He dropped me at the corner of a street, but round the corner there was no shop. As I walked into the station he was already driving away with another customer.
I will not be using Shireways Taxis again.
