After getting in touch with the ryde castle hotel about a possible wedding venue for us we just want to say that they are the nicest people to deal with your wedding. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always on hand to take your calls. They have helped with everything from rooms to finding decorations and giving us the choice of our own menu on our special day. perfect venue for the marraige with a nice large function room to party in for the evening.Thank you Ryde castle hotel and all the staff for making my wedding plans enjoyable and can't wait to get married there!

Good Points: Good breakfast, Good prices, prime location. Bad Points: Poor sound proofing. Rooms noisy and a bit too warm. Bed was not very comfortable. General review: Overall good. Didn't spend that much time in the hotel.

This is a very child unfriendly hotel. I had a very unpleasant stay here with my 7 month old baby.

Good Points: Good choice offered; flexible positive response when we asked for change of room Bad Points: Converted area of building rather lacking in sound insulation from adjacent bathrooms and corridors - disturbed nights General Review: We were offered a four poster bedroom with lush drapes which probably appeals to many but didnt suit us, partly because of the intense heat at the time. However no problem as we immediately got the choice of an alternative room at the back which was much more light and airy. Apart from the noise the accommodation was comfortable and well serviced. It was very clean but well overdue for redecoration - wallpaper lifting and paint flaking, one bedside lamp not wkg and toilet flush slightly tempramental but we didnt fuss as we were only staying two nights. What stood out was the food in the brasserie - excellent in every respect including the choice, catering standard, attentive service and the very pleasant historic setting. It would have been nice to play piano in brasserie but it was badly out of condition! Car parking easy and well organised, and hotel pleasantly located out of crowded town centre but within convenient walking. Overall we were very pleased and would come back.
