18 months ago we went to this pub on our way to Cornwall. Had the best ham sandwich I have ever had. Fresh crusty bread, still warm, generous slices of hand carved ham, mustard, .... I swore I would come back. They said "It's nothing special round here" I said, "Maybe, but it would be in London, where I come from". And I'm going back tomorrow....... !

We have visited this pub once or twice a year for the past three years approx on our way back from Cornwall,we would like to say that the food has always been very good such a varied menu and the special liver, onions & bubble & squeak my husband goes mad for so if its on the menu he always has it - and a nice touch is that they always remember us and our dog and treat us really well definately recommend to anyone

My wife and I had lunch in this establishment on three separate occasions during the last week - the food was generally quite good, a varied menu and nicely cooked, presented, etc. The only problem was FLIES IN THE DINING ROOM !!!!!! Surely, some investment in an insectocutor or similar device is necessary or maybe the local environmental health officer should pay a visit? On a possible forth occasion last week, we chickened out and attended a pub almost opposite and - guess whst? NO FLIES !!!!
