What a gem of a pub! We discovered the George when staying in a holiday cottage nearby. It's the sort of place that you would walk by quickly unless you had been recommended to go there! It looks nothing from the outside and proves the point that you shouldn't judge by appearances! The welcome you get from the landlord, the staff and the locals is fantastic! The real ales on tap are great! And the homecooked food is fabulous both in quality and value! We ate there 3 times during our weeks holiday-next time we'll eat there every day!
