Good Points: The stay was very pleasant - the decor was very good, receptionist (male) very friendly and efficient Bad Points: I was told free WIFI, couldn't get access in room told to try public areas still no good. The cups on hospitality tray had brown tea/coffee ring stains in. No shampoo - only handwash. Television no freeview channels yet General review: I booked online with AMEX, but the hotel doesn't accept AMEX - This could have caused embarrassment if I arrived with only AMEX. WIFI not working, carpet in bedroom had been poorly hoovered and stains in teacups. Whilst all this sounds negative - I was asked to be honest - I would use the hotel again. The staff were friendly and helpful, the quality of decor, fixtures and fittings in room very good and overall very good value for money

Lovely hotel which has just undergone refurbishment. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was wonderful, prompt service and a good array of things to pick from. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Couldn't have asked for more. Best Hotel in the Scunthorpe area. 10 out of 10!

The hotel has recently undergone a large refurbishment, with a total new stylish atmosphere. Staff couldn't be more helpful. The stay was comfortable, affordable and worth it's money. Would stay there again without hesitation. The hotel isn't in the nicest area of Scunthorpe, but the hotel has strived to provide a welcoming and high standard of service despite this. Better than the travelodge, the Royal and other small B&B's in the area.

Good Points: The rooms are very well appointed, clean & with all the amenities needed for a short break Bad Points: The original room - no. 44 was over the disco & very noisy General Review: If we had know it was the same room as last time we would have requested a quiter room. However when we asked to move the staff could not have been more helpful & moved us straight away to a quiter part of the hotel & put us in a suite for the second night which was fabulous - apart from the fact there were no batteries in the remote control in the lounge !! We will definitley book the suite again next time we are visiting Scunthorpe & many thanks for looking after

Good Points: The accommodation was very clean and tidy Bad Points: no air conditioning General Review: thought it was a bit overpriced. Breakfast in bed was cold. checking in facilities were fine and so was booking online. You would certainly get more visitors if it was priced a little lower. We live in the town so we only stayed because we were at a wedding reception, we wouldnt have stayed if not for this and will not stay again in furture due to the price of the room, there are cheaper hotels to stay in.

We were booked into a twin room, but were given the key for a family room with a no smoking policy. We asked to be moved, but were informed, that due to a private function this was not possible, as the hotel was fully booked. We were not able to dine in the restaurant either as it was booked out due to the above. After a very long drive from London, my colleague and I were exhausted, and after retiring to our room to rest due to an early start in the morning, The band and disco directly downstairs was at an unacceptable level, the room was too warm and we could not adjust the heating, the window could not be opened to combat this as the noise from downstairs was then amplified. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience.
