Visiting Cornwall wth my girlfriend. Had a great time at the Fire Engine, friendly landlord and locals and great meals - we recommend the crab salad and fish and chips - real fresh! Will definately go back again next time we visit the UK.

I also visited this pub last year while on holiday. The food I received was not what I ordered and was quite dreadful. My complaint was not well received by the management who were quite happy to argue with me in front of the other customers. I would not recommend this pub

I would have written this before but was unaware of the opportunity. I booked a table at this pub for five people, myself included, for Sunday lunch. On arrival we got some drinks and sat at our table. We gave our order to the bar staff and waitress. When the food arrived they had only bought out four dinners instead of five, our friend had to wait nearly 20 minutes for his beef, while we by now had nearly finished the meal, (his veg by now was cold) the beef, we all thought looked like the Bird's Eye beef in gravy rubbish. The food was cold, there was not enough vegetables. The pudding was no better, the banoffi pie was hard as rock, our friends had ice cream sundaes, which were the frozen sort in plastic tubes you get from the supermarket pushed into a sundae glass. After ordering coffee the coffee tasted like cleaning fluid and the friend of ours who order tea, didn't get it, we had to go and ask for it again. When she did get her tea the cup was filthy and had to be changed, may I add we also had to ask the waitress for a clean cup twice. All I can say and I speak for my friends as well, is WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND WE HAVE TOLD ALL OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY THE SAME!!

When we first arrived - we thought 'what a great pub'. However we did not ever expect to receive such a cold reception. We ordered food and unfortunately our orders were not what we requested. We asked for them to be changed and were advised that we either ate what we were given or nothing at all. In fact we were not served after that point. The landlord disagreed with three other tables that evening - more or less telling us to go elsewhere. Which we did - thank goodness there are two other pubs We advise the Goldolphin Arms

what a find! fantastic pub, my husband, son and i, stubbled across this great pub in marazion, whilst we were on our holiday in penzance, fabulous views of st michaels mount, a warm and welcoming pub, landlord and barstaff excellent customer service, although we were holiday makers we were made to feel very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble, my son loved his sword fish, first time having it! well recommended! keep up the good work!

My wife and I stayed in Marazion for three nights during a recent holiday in the UK. On the first night, we dined at the Fire Engine Inn, and the atmosphere was warm and casual. Our meals were excellent and the price was reasonable. We ate at the Inn on both of the following nights and were impressed each evening. We still think of it as our local in Marazion and look forward to returning to the Fire Engine Inn on our next visit to the UK.
