We stopped off in Nantwich en route to Berkshire after a week touring around in our motorhome. The Globe was 5 mins from the campsite so we dropped in on spec for dinner. This pub is fantastic and I wish my local was half as good. A great buzzy atmosphere amongst the locals, a friendly welcome from landlady (Rachel), superb food and service from the kitchen, and just the best beer you will find! It really was a magnificent impromptu end to our holiday and we hope to visit the Globe again sometime soon.

This is a REAL Cheshire pub ... the menu says "Real Ale, Real Food and Real People" ... and that's exactly what you get. All the ales (with the exception of a lager and a guest beer) are brewed by the family run Woodlands Brewery ... and they are amazing, winning a number of awards in the few years of their existance. The food is great, very well prepared by their young (but experienced) chef ... don't dare leave without trying his pate and his onion rings (separately, of course!) And everybody's so friendly. You must experience this pub; places like this are such a rare find.

Excellent home cooked food, which does take slightly longer to arrive than in most pubs but it is worth the wait. The long waiting time was pointed out so wasn't hidden. Highly recommend the Chicken and Leek Pie and the Steak and Ale Pie. Lovely ales too at low prices. Didn't find the chairs too hard or the lights too bright as mentioned in previous review, all in all a great place to have a meal.

lovely food, home cooked, fresh produce. fantastic ales too. decor not so impressive, wall lights were very bright and the chairs somewhat too hard. should not be too tricky to alter that. as it reduced our stay by an hour, and ale time lost!!
