Good Points: The rooms were very spacious. It was good to have a large living room as well as bedroom and bathroom. Lovely views too. Bad Points: Decor was a bit dated and would benefit from updating. Outside the paintwork was in need of some repair General Review: The hotel was close to the M6 but far enough away to be in pleasant countryside with great views. First sight of the hotel showed peeling paintwork on the walls which disappointed. Into reception, smelt a little of cigarette smoke. Receptionist was very welcoming and in general staff were very friendly and helpful. Size of room was a nice surprise, it was good to have a living room complete with large settee, armchair, TV and even a dining table and chairs. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom large and clean. Decor overall could do with updating but otherwise we were very pleased with the hotel and even booked an extra day.

Good Points: Spacious room and quite (505). Always request same room. Bad Points: Slightly worn, grubby look in vacinity of reception area. Dinner not very good (micro-waved veg) but with few covers perhaps cannot expect too much. General Review: My priority is a quiet, spacious room room, which is what I got. New crew in dinning room since last stay. Enthusiatic but perhaps lack experience.

Good Points: Spacious suite with comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Bad Points: Nothing in particular, but please see comments below. General Review: The stay was enjoyable, and the on-line booking process worked well. It was a pleasant suprise to find ourselves in a suite, rather than just a bedroom with en-suite bathroom and toilet. However, we have stayed at the hotel a couple of times before over the last 10 or so years, and on this occasion we noticed that the decor inside and out was looking somewhat tired and in need of renovation. This was the only negative in what was otherwise an enjoyable experience.
