Superb ! Relaxing atmosphere close to the river walkway. Large beer garden. Delicious food. Had the prawn platter starters and steak, it was the best we've had this year. Reasonally priced. Will definately visit again...SOON!

Last night a group of 47 of our extended family, who had had a reunion in Grantchester Village hall during the afternoon, went to the Red Lion for a pre booked meal.As organiser of this and with diners from as far away as Australia and Canada as well as many parts of Britain I am pleased to say it did not disappointment anyone. The food was delicious and the service was superb. The kitchen team must be so well ordered as all our main courses (47 ! ) arrived within minutes of each other. Some of our party had starters, some not, some starters and main, some main and dessert, some just main, some all 3 courses and to get all the main couses together really was fantastic. All agreed it could not have been a better ending to a fantastic day. Thanks so much to all concerned.I have dined here with a small group before and been well pleased but to cope with such a large number so well was a real test which they passed with flying colours. GREAT place, food, staff and service.
