The food here has much improved it is always served hot and the fish is very good. We have always found the staff helpful and attentive.

I agree with the previous reviewer. This pub used to serve excellent food and the service was always consistent. Standards have dropped in recent times. Portions are small, food is served cold (on one occasion the chicken served to my daughter was red raw in the middle), the carpet and tables are dirty and the service highly variable. This pub has some good competition in the area now and it will take a lot before regulars like us return.

My partner and I have finally given up altogether going to the White Hart for a meal as we are fed up with cold food, dirty tables and indifferent service. The White Hart restaurant used to serve delicious meals, but its standards have plummeted. The chefs need to learn how to cook and someone should tell them that you don't serve up a meal on a COLD plate!
For goodness sake, where is your manager and what on earth is he/she doing to let standards drop so much?
