Good Points: Cleanliness, comfortable bed/bedroom, good food. Friendly, efficient reception staff
Bad Points: Dreadfully slow restaurant service, cramped bathroom in room, no shower over bath (only handheld and on too short a hose to stand up). TV only got BBC 1 and 2

Good Points: Position. Staff friendly, if a little slow at breakfast. That is not a complaint as she was busy at the time I guess. problems dealt with straight away.
Bad Points: Unable to controll shower heat. No hairdryer in room (put right at the front desk).
General review: Pleasant. friendly staff and general feel of the hotel made this a pleasant stay overall. If you are used to big modern bright hotels this may not be for you. If you like a laid back and old fashioned kind of feel then give this a go. Rooms come up a little small but we had ample storage and the toiletries were fine. very clean. Noise from the nearby airport no problem for us as we stayed at the weekend and we only had two flights come over whilst we were there. You may find this a problem at busier times and stay towards the back of the hotel to avoid the noise from the street if you think that may affect your stay. We were down visiting family and for a place to crash after a busy day, this was just fine.
We didn't have the full English breakfast and made do with the newspaper supplied so do not know if they still charge you an additional amount if you request another paper or the breakfast.

Bad Points: Windows in the room were hard to shut. There were no heavy curtains in the bathroom

Good Points: The facilities were of a good standard.
Bad Points: The room temperature was a little too warm, even with the fan on.
