Many years ago I stayed for a few days in Clifton.I had just completed my National Service in the R.A.F. And came to work in the Aero Engine Design Office at Filton. I used the Richmond Spring most evenings and remember a room with an inscription round the wall which read something like "Tobacco is a man's friend and companion......" I have always wondered who wrote it and if it is still there.
Can someone please tell me?
