The store was, in effect ,our corner shop. We rented a cottage in Burcott and used the store every day for newspapers and for food.
We wer both very impressed by the excellent state of the shop, the freshness of the fresh produce and the pleasantness and efficiency of the staff.
We will be back for a week in September in the same cottage as the Tour of Britain finishes a stage there so there's no douby where we will be shopping. Star buys for us were the bunches of low priced asparagus and the Wensleydale cheeses in all its gglory YUM.
We have lived in France for many years but there are no people like the English at their best.
