we stayed 0n this site with friends last weekend, it is a really nice site with many pitches having a sea view, there is a cafe and play area on site the showers and toilet blocks were nic and clean plenty of hot water the warden are very friendly. on Friday evening we walkied into Filey town and visted the snooker club and other pubs in the area, if you like Indian food then Filey Tandoori is a must, it has no license so take your own booze, Filey has something for everyone and the children will love the rock pools down at cobble landing. going back again soon

Just got home after a great time in Filey. We were totally happy with the campsite. The staff were friendly and helpful, the showers warm and clean, the location superb and it was a delightful walk down to the beach and also to the town.Theres a well equipped shop on site and a cafe.It was good value as it cost us £13.50 per night for two of us in a campavan with electricity. We will definately return!

If you're a caravanner or camper then this site is not to be missed. You will be delighted with it. It lies the clifftops of the Yorkshire coastline therefore the views are exeptional. It is very easy to find as all the signs in the town point you towards it. On arrival you will be met by the friendly staff who will quickly get you booked in. There are two toilet blocks (one is quite new) therefore whereever you chooose to pitch, you will be near these facilities. Water points are numerous as are domestic waste disposal pints. The waste containers have lids to ensure that the (often strong winds) don't allow rubbish to be strewn about the site. The Shop/cafe is managed very well and the staff here are very obliging too. The meals are basic but very nice. My routine is to walk down the ravine onto the beach where I let my dogs have a run (this end on the beach is dog friendly - the bit in front of the sea wall near the town is not during peak season) As the tide cleans the beach every 12 hours it is always very nice to walk on. The Filey Brigg is a peninsular that shoots out into the North Sea and is a spectacular place to visit but beware of the tides )although there are escape routes if you get caught.) The kids look catching crabs here!! There are many rock pools for paddling too. For the bird lovers, this too is the place to be and there is a dedicated bird watching hut there. Further afield you have Scarborough to the North and just 20 minutes away and well worth a visit if only for the fish and chips!! Whitby is also Northwards together with Robin Hoods Bay (but beware if you have walking problems as the hill into the bay is very, very steep.) To the south is Bridlington that has just benefited from a face lift and well worth a visit. This again is only a 20 minute drive away. Nearer stil is Bempton Cliffs. This is a spectaclar range of sheer cliffs where the sea birds nest. It is truly incredible how these birds cling on whilst having their young. There are several viwing points so that you can see the cliff face and the birds nests. So, there you have it in a nutshell but be warned. Do not come here and spoil the place by dropping litter or making noise at night. Only the responsible are welcome - or you'll have me to deal with!!!

I have been coming to this site for years, it is a superb site and the wardens are very helpful, there are many pitches to choose from and they are on a first come first served basis(except the disabled ones), some are hard standing, there is a shop and cafe bar on site and the shopper hopper bus comes into the country park if you want a shopping trip into filey (or you can walk it is not far), as it can be difficult to park at very busy times, the beach is a walk down the hill, the new toilet block is welcomed and they are cleaned daily, its in between Brid and Scarborough and if you dont want to take you car you can take the train to either. There are 2 play parks for the children and it is excellent for kite flying.

This is a very large busy council run site. However, do not let that put you off. The fantastic views and the convenience of being able to leave the car on site whislt you walk to the beach overcome this. The toilet blocks are basic but very useable. They are cleaned daily but as with any public facilities, you get the person using them who will leave them in a poor state. The block contains washing drying facilities and ironing kit (if you're so inclined!) These are secured by coded lock to prevent use by members of the public not on site. The site is part sloping with a large flat area by the reception. There is a late arrivals area for latecomers. This has hook up. This site has gorgeous views over the Filey Bay towards Flamborough Head. Bempton Cliffs is nearby if you are interested in the bird population. Well worth a visit! Heartbeat country and Whitby are a short drive away. At any of these locations, including Filey the fish and chips are to die for!! This is one of the most unspoilt towns on the East Coast.

Great little cafe that you can get a fantastic breakfast, lunch or tea at. The toast is amazing!! The showers are cleaned everyday so make sure you go just after lunch when they are sparkling! Friendly atmosphere, really close the beach and a walk up cobble landing to the town. Loveit!
