After reading everyones comments I totally agree this site is a really beautiful location but the rude owners are very off putting and I wont be going back the rubbish area is a real health hazard no recycling. They say they welcome dogs but they are not dog friendly As soon as this site changes hands watch it grow Someone out there will make a fortune but not this couple

I've never had to complete a review before today! The people who have already written about the owners are 100% right, Rude, miserable, unhelpful and completely not dog friendly! I was informed by the lady owner that I was unable to stay any extra nights it just would not happen she said! The camp was great and scenery excellent! Her husband is a bit more approachable and let me and my family stay one extra night! Do not stay there, I will never again! I think the owners should sack them!!!!

This is a beautiful location right on the banks of river Severn. I only wish we had read some previous reviews before visiting. We were astonished at the rudeness of the owner on arrival, and throughout our 24 hour stay.

I visited this caravan park and used the antiquated shower room when the power shower flooded the cubicle. I then tried to mop it up but the so called mop fell to pieces. The owner called me brain dead to my husband and complained it was my fault as i should of realised the shower wouild do this .They are very miserable people and should not be running a holiday park where we should feel welcome and not a inconvenience which is how you feel when you are there . Will not be coming again and if any one reads this be warned . I am not the only one who feels like this , everyone you spoke to felt th same .

Great location by the river, lovely flat site. However the owners are unwelcoming and rude. We had asked for electric hook up when booking but told none were available. Throughout the weekend there were lots of hook up pitches unused - appears they do not give hook ups to tents. The facilities are basic but there is hot water most of the time. Washing up area sinks were blocked up daily and the smell from the septic tank was unpleasant. We will not be returning to this site - with a little effort and more welcoming owners this could be a great site.

Having visited several campsites over the years and always receiving a nice warm welcome, I was gobsmacked with the reception I received from the owners of this park. They were miserable, rude, loud and very condecending. I wanted to pay by card. She said, 'if you look on your paper(meaning the receipt, i think!!), you will see it says NO PLASTIC!! she repeated this several times. Flabergasted and infuriated by her negative attitude, I calmly replied, 'yes, I heard you, you have told me that about 5 times before! I got ordered off the site!! GET OUT, she said I DON'T LIKE YOUR ATTITUDE. MY ATTITUDE!!! I am a 48 yr old educated woman!! Infact when I looked at my paper, there was no mention of NO CARDS! I will never go back there again and recommend that even if it was the last place on earth to stay..DONT GO THERE. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR BREAK AWAY IN THE FIRST 5 MINUTES. Go to Folly Farm, Bourton on the Water instead. Very basic but a fantastic, warm hearted, welcoming and very helpful site manager . You won't want to leave his generosity. LEARN A LESSON FROM HIM YOU 2 RUDE PEOPLE. YOU DON'T DESERVE TO HAVE ANYONE STAYING WITH YOU.

It has to be said that the attitude of the staff was dreadful.I have never been treated with such distain in my life compounded by the fact that these people are making a living out us. The infamous woman also shouted at me in front of my children demanding extra money as I tried to leave the campsite in the afternoon despite the fact they provide no written rules or regulations stating when we had to leave. We also had no hot water during our stay. The location is fantastic - the owners are from another century and despite the wonderful location I will never return.

We were the first of our party of 12 to arrive to find marvellous rivers views and thought wow! However this didn't last long when we checked in and met Mrs Rottweiler with lipstick! How anyone running a business can be so rude is beyond me. She was equally rude to our frineds as they arrived over the next few hours. Plenty of EHUs even though we had been informed they were all booked. Microwaved food reasonbly priced. We walked to the Hawbridge Inn on Saturday and received a very friendly welcome and good food - they also have a small camp site. However our hosts at The Red Lion obviously resented us visiting a rival establishment and decided to bar us from his pub!I will just add that the majority of our party are Grandparents! The site could be wonderful with its location and river views but not whilst in the hands of the gestapo!

We recently visited the camp site and totally enjoyed the stay. Previous reviews are a bit dis-heartening but dont let them put you off! The bins do smell a little but what do people expect a bin to smell like??? The site itself is spotless and lovely and we will returning soon. Apart from some crazy couple yodalling at silly o`clock in the morning it was the best camping trip we have had. Food at the pub was well priced and drinks were well priced too. The beer garden on river bank is kept very tidy and staff were always collecting glasses and clearing tables. The noisy yodallers were asked to leave the next day so dont expect a noisy weekend. The family who own the site run a tightship which is excellent as it keeps everything and everyone under control. We really didnt want to leave and like I said, we will be going back real soon. Thank you for a very pleasent weekend and see you all again soon. Chris and Manda.

Nice site- shame about the attitude We have come to this site twice now, and the setting is fantastic, with plenty of open spaces to pitch, great scenery and a pretty nice pub. There are a few things which are enough to put anyone off this site though. The first one being a stinky cesspit and blocked sinks, and the second one being the shocking attitude of the site owners. Nothing but rude to us every time we had a question- happy to take our money but not to do anything else. We arrived about 9pm and despite letting them know beforehand, we were met with "You're lucky we're letting you in at this time". To what, a prison camp? Everyone we talked to had a similar story of this rudeness. If you're on holiday, you expect to be met with at least a pleasant reception, not someone who rips it out of you, especially when they're taking your hard earned cash.

the shower block was extremly basic witch i could of over looked but the dirtyness of it was another! toilets were discusting most locks didnt work.the showers tiles had got mould on and were dirty the shower curtains were half full of mould and you couldnt get a hot shower, cob webs hung every where possible to the eye and to put the topper on it there was a mop and bucket in the cubicle with a note asking you to clean up after your shower.the rudness of the people running the site was unspeakeable when i asked the women and man in the office/shop was there were no hot water i was shouted at by the lady that she was very busy and had not got time over stupid things like that and told if u dont like it get your stuff and get of then .we packed up and left 2 days early.

We were "welcomed" by a miserable woman in the reception/shop who seemed as if she didnt want to be there, then by the stench coming from the overflowing bins in the heat and the smell of the septic tanks was nauseating. Not to mention the flies and other bugs buzzing around. I felt bad for the campers nearby as it was bad enough having to walk past this area to get on/off site or go to the facilities. The facilities were dirty, cobwebs signified how little/well it was cleaned and there were mystery "splatters" down the cubicle walls that were there for the 2 nights we were there.Several cubicles wouldnt lock and lighting was poor. There was body grease in the sinks, hair and were generally mucky and dated. I didnt attempt the showers as there was insufficient lighting and after seeing the size of the spider in the one corner, i thought better. Body washes in my tent sufficed for this short stay. The same lady in the reception shop had been really rude to a poor man who had been late in asking to extend his stay and was ranting at him in front of his children about how she she get her husband to turf him off and that your supposed to give notice etc even though the site was virtually empty. The poor man looked mortified as she did this in front of several other customers including myself and his young children. This sealed it for me and I will certainly not be returning. We had originally wanted to stay a week and felt we couldnt face to stay another minute. We returned home several "bites" later. I have read the previous comments and cant help but think one of them was written by the site themselves as it didnt seem to reflect the general tone of the people on site when we were there. If you visit this site take your wasp and fly spray, anti bac wipes and baby wipes and pre-cautionary immodium.Good Luck.
