A wonderful tranquil and peaceful place to camp, and really "get away from it all".
The owner John is friendly and helpful.
Beautiful setting beside the River Dart, with steam trains passing by from time to time.
We have enjoyed 5 visits and hope to go back again.

We love Beara we are definately coming this Summer it is so relaxed not like the big sites with all the entertainment, just lovely country a river and friendly campers, we have been a few times and my family have camped her many times over the recent years. A lovely farmer looks after the site, this is the only place for me, living on the Isle of Wight is great but Devon is my birthplace and Beara seems like home to me.

fantastic tucked away quiet spot, We had an amazing weekend celebrating a friends birthday here, There was a big group of us and we were made very welcome.
The owner is a funny and charming gent and we had a laugh with him, hope people have a lovely time here.

Fading memories of days past. I have the most fondest of memories of Beara Farn in Buckfasleigh. My family and myself used to go camping there every year, it was beautiful and although i may never go again, the place is still in my heart. Tranquil, peaceful, a restful haven and ideal for children just about sums this site up. My husband and I have been visiting Beara Farm Campsite for over 30 years and still go back at least once a year. We have spent some happy family holidays here which are still fondly remembered by our 3 grown up sons and it is the only place we know of that has not changed in all those years (apart from a shower 2 additional toilets and electricity!) The owner, who will not stand for any noisy or disruptive behaviour has become a firm friend
and we eagerly await our visits each year to recharge our batteries.

A beautiful setting for a campsite and well appointed and maintained. It's also far enough off the beaten track to deter the unadventurous, and completely lacking the features that would otherwise attract chavs, scallys and football supporters. Having said that, one pillock turned up with an 'I'm here now' attitude, a bottle of cheap mash and a guitar which he proceeded to torture the rest of the campsite with. Thankfully the campsite owner removed him without further ado. Similarly, the campsite owner offed a bin-diving squirrel with what sounded like an artillery piece one afternoon, which temporarily roused me from my slumber. So overall, an excellent campsite and an uncompromising owner who won't tolerate ill behaviour from any quarter. My sort of place really.
