Arrived yesterday all was well until the noise started from an inconsiderate group of noisy campers who insisted on playing there music as loud as they could till 01:00 hours Same again today. After reading the site rules it says that no noise after 23:00. Ha ha joke there is no one to contact just an answer phone. There rules also say don't park your vehicle in front of you van counted 10 tonight doing just that No one here to police the rules all they want is your money. God help them if they ever have an emergency.

We stayed at this site for the Bank Holiday weekend. We found the office staff to be obnoxious and not helpful at all when we arrived. We had to pay a £20 cash deposit for toilet key and card for us to enter through the barriers to the campsite. (Not well signposted!!)The campsite where the pitch was allocated to us did not leave much room and for health and safety reasons we had to park unit facing outwards, not sideways on the pitch. Health and Safety??? I went to the Pot wash room, and found live wire on the floor sealed with black masking tape?? The Electricity box wide open above the sink!!! Ladies toilets were too far away from the campsite...no soap to wash your hands after going to the toilet. 50 pence to be charged if you wanted a shower...Rubbish bins were overflowing by Sunday not once were they emptied. It was suppose to be a relaxing weekend!!! Last but, not least it states that ONLY ONE CHILD PER UNIT AGED BETWEEN FIVE AND SEVENTEEN, BUT YOU CAN HAVE DOGS TWO PER UNIT!!!That is saying something. I will not be recommending this site to friends/relatives in the future until this site can be improved on customer service skills and health and safety issue's.

I have just read ian grice's review 16 April, i stayed there for that bank holiday and having stayed there before i expected an enjoyable time, that all changed with the arrival of the Charities Camping and Caravan Club on the rally field. These people turned a good camp site into an inner city council estate with a large group of unsupervised youngsters throwing stones, causing damage and using foul and abusive language. My advise is to check these people are not going to the same site as you, the good news is they are banned from Shardlow, hopefully soon the only place they will be welcome will be Eastern Europe

We stayed at Shardlow the same weekend as the charities club did and we had a lovly time the staff were really helpfull and allowed us to stay passed checking out time which is 1pm so we could enjoy our bankholiday lunch, we finally left at 4pm, the only trouble on site was the gang and i say gang of childred from the charities club runing riot throwing stones at boats and swinging on the electric barrier bracking it. we know the children was from the rally as the normal caravan site has a child restriction and they went running to the rally field. Once again we had a great time at shardlow marina and will go again, THANKS TO THE STAFF FOR YOUR KINDNESS.

We went there for a charity fundraiser with our Club. The staff were downright rude and abusive, and the most unhelpful we have ever come across. We were made to feel unwelcome as soon as we entered the site. All I can say is if you want to experience East Germany in the 60s go to Shardlow Marina

This is an excellent site in a good location with great facilities, the toilet and shower block are modern and clean and no more than a two minute walk from the furthest pitch. The staff are very efficient and friendly and always willing to help. The boating people are a friendly bunch always ready with a cheery wave and hello. I would recommend this site to anyone looking for good value, great scenery and a friendly welcome. Jonathan Parker

this site is not that bad BUT if you get put on the bottom pitch there is no toilets or shower block and it is quite a walk to the ones that are available.
