Bad Points: Distinctive bad smell of damp and mold, which hit you soon as you entered the front door. Room was like something from the 1920's unsuitable for a family and young baby to stay. General review: Did not stay one night out of two, couldn't wait to leave the building.

Good Points: Provides an opportunity for a relaxing few days with lots of places of interest within easy reach. The hotel is a very important part of that, and fulfils it admirably with a friendly and helpful staff. Bad Points: No dislikes - but even in August,in the cooler weather, in the evenings and early morning, we found the room chilly, with no heating provision. General Review: Overall the room was small, but adequate and the provision of a sitting area outside the room was excellent. There was plenty of atmosphere in the bar area if you enjoy a drink in relaxed company - everyone being welcomed and accepted. The food was excellent; and we enjoyed the evening meals enormously. Altogether a first-class break.

Good Points: Gave us what we always look for - peace and quiet Bad Points: The only window in the room was jammed and it was impossible to open it. This, when the temperature was in the 80's

Good Points: A comfortable room General Review: A pleasantly informal atmosphere with excellent meals in the evening and remarkably efficient staff, even over a busy Easter holiday weekend.
