Good Points: Excellent room, service and staff. Good position for access to town facilities and for travelling to the 3 Counties Showground. Breakfast was good. Bad Points: Main meal was unsatisfactory as chicken piri piri and lamb shank and crumble dessert were obviously cooked earlier and heated up. First course of salmon fishcakes was excellent. General review: Generally very good but would think about eating elsewhere next time.

Our stay at the Tudor house hotel was very relaxed the staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed a Traditional meal on New Years Eve, the Chef clearly knew what he was doing with his dishes, tastes went together and presentation excellent and appealing. The accommodation was slightly dated but when the booking was made we was aware that the hotel is going through refurbishments The manager (Yorkshire Girl), explained to us that this would no affect our stay and she was true to her word. Breakfast was excellent full English kept us full all day. would defiantly recommend and will defiantly revisit

Alas despite the good reviews of late our experience was appalling. Turning up at the appointed time on the coldest night of the year thus far we were told the hotel had no trace of our two night booking made through a reputable on line booking agency some two weeks earlier. The woman manager could not have been less sympathetic. It wasn't her fault she said and with Cheltenham races on the next day she saw little prospect of booking us in elsewhere. The chance early checkout of another couple secured us one night but it was until another hour or so later that we found a booking for the next night some twenty miles or so away in what turned out to be a well run and comfortable but rather characterless modern hotel on the edge of an industrial estate. To add insult to injury the central heating had broken down in our room at the Tudor House but we only realised that when we returned to the hotel after dinner. So we never really got to see the good service experienced by others, we missed the opportunity to see Tewkesbury in daylight (but had a great meal and service at the Thai night of the restaurant attached to the Abbey hotel) and we wasted a great deal of time and energy. Needless to say we have lodged a formal complaint with the Tudor House's parent company. Hope others have a better experience than we did.

We spent two nights at the Tudor House hotel and wished it was two weeks. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food excelent. It is in a great location for visits to all the tourist attractions this part of the country has to offer or just to explore Tewkesbury itself with it`s ample bars and various eating places all along the high street. We will certainly be making another visit to the Tudor House hotel.

hello, we would like to give a review for a hotel in tewkesbury we stayed last week. we booked in holland at OAD-travel. we stayed at tudor house hotel. we enjoyed it there very much, liked that old building with it's history and tales like ghosts etc. the new managerwoman does a lot to get the hotel in better situation and we think she will succeed. it was so nice staying there, that we intend to spend our next holliday there for 3 or 4 days. good, luxuous diner and delicious english breakfast. we had a nice sightseeing through the old parts of the building. i made a lot of nice pics there. it was stunning. han en marjan cozijn, purmerend, netherlands
