Good Points: Friendy staff and clean accommodation Bad Points: Nobody on reception when we checked in on saturday afternoon. The room was cold because the heating was timed to come on after 6 p.m. General review: Overall our stay was pleasant. the problem with the heating was explained to us however I feel that the situation should be monitored and adjusted in conjunction with the temperature outside.

Cannot fault this hotel. Staff extremely pleasant, friendly and helfpul. Standard of cleanliness throughout hotel very high. Rooms extremely comfortable and clean with interesting and unique furniture and furnishings. Restaurant had good choice on menu and the food was excellent as was the service. Same applies to the breakfast area. Am looking forward to staying at this hotel again in the Summer of 2006. Keep up the good work - a little gem hidden away in some lovely countryside.

A most excellent hostelry. The evening meal was high quality, well served, and very reasonably priced. The wine was good. The overnight accommodation is very comfortable, and of a standard much higher that one would expect at such a modest price. The breakfast provided was more than adequate, and everything was well-prepared. It is difficult to fault this quiet place, which is well located for exploring the Midlands.
