Best rates for a Local Hotel

Booked the restaurant for a Sunday lunch for 7. We were a little late in arriving, but none the less were made welcome. Restaurant was full and had a nice atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and operate an efficient service. Food was brilliant - fairly priced, nicely presented and of good quality. Too many pubs have jumped onto the "gastro-pub" bandwagon, charging high prices for poor quality food, but not this one. It was just right. Menu is not too big, but has something for everyone. Will definitely return.

What a lovely pub. They seem to have struck the balance between friendly/welcoming/relaxed drinking pub and still serve bloody good food, but not overly gastro-pubby (ie good size portions) Lots of delicious local meat and fish, I had the local lamb (the best I've ever had) and my partner had the fish pie (fab quality chock full of salmon, prawns etc) And amazingly it only came to £32 for two of us with drinks! We will definitely return soon
