Best rates for a Local Hotel

I visited the White Lion Public House recently but was quite reluctant because of previous visits, reviews and local comments, i live in Warlingham. I was pleasantly suprised, the food was good and value for money. The service was also good and the pub looked clean and fresh. Please keep these standards up 'White Loin', it was nice not to have to drive 5 miles to find somewhere decent in the area.

This must be one of the most appaling pubs in Surrey: a pity, as it used to be so good. There is not one redeeming feature or good thing that I can say about my recent visit on a Sunday lunchtime, when it should have been "heaving", but was, now understandably, very poorly patronised. The place was dirty, the garden unkempt, the glasses filthy, the beer (Adnams and London Pride) very badly kept and served. And the food defies description - badly cooked, badly presented, obviously not freshly cooked to order, dry, - I could go on but, in two words "truly awful" Ember Inns - get your act together, or leave it to people who know what they are doing and what customers want
