My wife to this market earlier today as part of a shopping trip to town. And came home quite upset. Basically, there is a stall there that sells curtains, and plastic flooring type stuff. Basically my wife wanted 2 metres of some flooring. They were £3.60 per metre. So the man (old, white hair, clean shaven) proceeded to get it. Then he kept saying 3 metres. My wife said no, just 2 please. Then he said, ok that's £5. My wife thought perhaps he was willing to offer 2 metres for £5, so she jokingly asked him incase that was the case. Then the man said it's £5 for a metre. So she questioned why it's £5 per metre. By now he was muttering things to her (she wouldn't tell me what he said). Then he decided it was £10 per metre. My wife couldn't understand this behaviour. After dealing with lot's of unhelpful, ignorant shop assistants in Coventry city centre, this one took the biscuit! I've lived in Coventry for a very long time, and the quality of some of the stalls (and the people that own them) has gone downhill. Not that I ever use it. This is simply all I ever hear about it. Even just before today's incident, an aunty of mine was telling her that they're quite rude in there! A massive 0 out of 10. If you're looking for cheap goods, bargains, then do yourself a favour and go somewhere else!
