Sadly the food in the Cricketers restaurant in Cobham is no longer the highly enjoyable standard it used to be since taken over by new owners. Whilst the scallops starter was fine, the fillet steak we orderd was terrible - it must have been defrosted in a microwave and cooked on a low heat griddle. It was "steamed" and simply awfull. We sent it back but the second attempt was no better. They have serious problem there in the kitchen and it ruined our evening.

I adore the Cricketers and we visit it all the time. I've been coming to the Cricketers for 5 years or so now and was VERY glad when they changed the old open air buffet to a more hygeinic "cooked from fresh" approach. The buffet always had fruit flies around it in Summer. I've never been disappointed and the burgers are the BEST!! Being home-made. It's also dog friendly and the staff have got to know Harry very well. Great place to eat, but fair warning, on a sunny Sunday, waiting times for food can be long - I've been told they serve 300 meals or more on these days, so it's still not bad going and worth the wait for a lovely roast!

I have been visiting this pub on and off for the best part of thirty years. I had a meal with three other people there on Sunday and the food was frankly so poor that we complained to the owner/manager, who was very rude and unprofessional and disagreed with us and then, having given us a partial refund, asked us to leave the pub "as our never coming back there wouldn't damage his business" - hopefully I can damage his business by writing about how poor his food and custom is!? This pub has really gone down hill since he took over running this once lovely pub and I would strongly advise everybody NOT TO GO THERE! Fortunately there are far better pubs and restaurants in Cobham and the surrounding area who would welcome your custom and serve far superior food! I hope that one day this pub will once again be managed/owned by someone who appreciates that this pub once had a really good reputation for it's food and will one day (when the present owners have sold up and moved on) restore the pub to it's previous excellent standing in the area. Thanks for reading my honest review of this establishment.
