We have never been to the Brewers Arms before but we live locally at Bury St Edmunds and had the place passed onto me by a friend who had been a few weeks ago and had a lovely meal. So we thought we would try it out for mothers day. It's a lovely cosy pub, in the countryside village of Rattlesden. Took us about 20mins to drive from Bury, so not too far out of the way. There is a lovely little log fire to sit in front off, with two seperate bar areas and the main restaurant. The place has so much character. I had Roast Beef for my lunch and it was a huge plateful, it was so yummy but I just couldnt eat it all. All of my family compliemented the food, although I cannot remember what they had. Desserts were scrummy as well, all home made by the looks and taste of it. All in all we had a lovely meal, somewhere we hadnt been before and we were nicely suprised at how good it was. We shall visit again.
