The Pheasant tries very hard, but misses by rather a long way. A pleasant setting, traditional pub looks, plenty of parking space, open fires, nice beer... shame they didn't stick to being a pub that served some food rather than trying to become something beyond their level of competence. Our party of four waited 45 minutes for starters, a further 45 for mains. (We arrived on time, our dishes were not complicated). Pate contained unpleasant lumps of meat/gristle, pasta was soggy and well past 'al dente' in one case and contained unwanted cheese in another, despite out informing the waiter that one of our party was dairy-intolerant. Chips were as bad as they come; soggy outer, hard inner, dripping fat or oil (hard to tell from the flavour. Cost for 4 was just under £100. Not a pleasant Pheasant.

If your looking for a mixture of beautifully prepared Italian food, and traditional english dining, combined with a warm and friendly atmosphere then look no further!! Roberto(the landlord)not only provides his customers with an exquisite selection of cuisine but a cosy and welcoming relaxed atmosphere in which to eat. The food had been all prepared fresh with the finest ingredients and the food presentaion would not look out of place in a 5 star establishment,I can assure you,you will not be disapointed. The pheasant inn is BY FAR the best Pub of its kin,i have ever come across.

A great little pub/restaurant - very friendly welcome by the landlord,Roberto. Serving excellent food with a choice of Traditional menu and Freshly made Italian menu. All cooked to order, nothing has been pre-cooked and kept warm. Lovely cosy atmosphere with open fires in the pub and the restaurant areas. We even found the locals friendly and easy to chat to. A great place to visit.
