Lunchtime meal. The staff were very friendly. Good choice of meals on the menu and specials board. The food was freshly prepared and tasted superb. Though the restaurant was quiet, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

After being recomended to the Washford inn,our club members[all senior citizens]12 of us,went for our midday meal. All of us were very disapointed. first the meals were cold, the veg was hard, not cooked enough, the meat was very tough and even the gravy was cold. The coffee afterwards was also cold. The meals came to us quite quickly with only one girl serving but they were all cold. the recomendation we had will not be passed on to our friends

Phil and I stopped off at this delightful pub on our way back home for something to eat. We were both absolutely starvin' and we couldn't have picked a better place. The food we ordered, fish n chips, with mushy peas, was sooo good to eat. I cannot think that I have ever tasted fish n chips so delightful before, The fish was firm, white and flaky, but the batter was an eyeopener, it wasn't greasy at all...he must have a secret ingredient (I thought I detected a taste of beer!) But whatever it was we left feeling a lot better than when we arrived. The atmosphere was great, there was a bunch of people in there having a game of darts, but there was so much laughter when the girls took part, it made me smile. some things never change. I hope the cuisine doesn't either!

A wonderful friendly place, very clean and neat. The room was a good size and a very reasonable price compared to the other hotels in the area. I can not rate the staff high enough we found them very welcoming and helpful.

Whilst out on a day trip to Minehead, myself and my wife stopped off at the Washford Inn for some lunch. I was very impressed with their drink selection and the food was overwelmingly good. I decided to go for a pint of Guinness and their mixed grill for lunch and throughly enjoyed it. My wife went for the special of the day but I can't remember what it was. The lady behind the bar was extremely polite and welcoming. Service was spot on. I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone that are out and about in northwest somerset.

Called in to the Inn as we had an hours wait for our next train on the WSR. Pleased to see that they offered Sharp's Doom Bar as a Guest Beer but the barman was in deep conversation with a deliveryman whilst I stood at the bar with my friend - our two wives were outide at a table. After fully five minutes, with not even an acknowledgement of our presence from the guy behind the bar - we were the only customers inside - we decided to curtail the visit. The sign outside said 'Under New Management' - hopefully these people had yet to take over!!

Its a lovely country Pub not the hilton but it suits our needs for the Minehead beer festival and a ride on the steam train. The people are lovely it is what it is. so the decor is a bit old but you can find fault with anything. I have no complaints about the food and the service is great.

The only nice things I can say about this pub is that the lady who gave us our breakfast was really nice and that the bedding was clean. This pub is in need of a serious refurb, cellotape holding up signs on doors, hot water from the cold tap, constant noise through out the night of the water tank re filling, over cooked oily breakfast, dodgy eighties decor. I could go on but there isn't enough room in this box. Oh one last thing its over priced surprise surprise! For the pleasure of all of the above cost me and my partner £64.00.

The pub appears to be for sale. When my parents went there it wasn't the same pub that we'd gone to in the past when visiting the West Somerset Railway. It was a pity as the pub is in a fantastic position right next to Washford station.

Fantastic menu with a very friendly landlord. Our son enjoyed watching the steam trains go by from the garden. The West Somerset railway line is behind the pub. A ride on the trains and a lovely traditional pub meal made for a great day out!
