Altough the place was lovely to look at the staff and quality of food left a lot to be desired. The soup was tepid and the sandwiches lacked taste but this was not reflected in the cost. The cakes were obviously bought in although they were claimed to be homemade and must have been there some time. An experience I would not repeat quickly

When writing such a review there is a tendency to analyse what it is that makes the perfect pub..situated in a country village, a welcoming real fire, friendly locals, real ales..we discovered all of these at the Miners Arms at Easter. But what capped the day was the wonderful home-cooked lunch we had. There were 8 of us ranging from early twenties to octogenarians, and all thoroughly enjoyed a generous traditional meal with roast lamb and roast beef served in abundance with an enormous range of fresh vegetables. Many, many thanks, we'll be back...
