Local Resident. Ordered Skate wings, black butter with capers, spinach and new potatoes. Not a cheap option, but I believe you get what you pay for. The spinach was stringy, which I would not of complained about normally, however the skate was totally inedible. Two wings stank and tasted strongly of ammonia. I would of been satisfied with one fresh wing that I could eat. The waitress apologised after visiting the kitchen and said, "we have had a fish delivery today, would you like us to cook you a fresh one?" I said, NO, I would of appreciated a fresh fish when I ordered. I do not now wish to eat anything more. Advice, dont go, they dish out all the out of date produce before the fresh. Not what I call a place to spend good money on a lottery meal. Its now 3.30pm,havent eaten anything all day, I suppose I better make myself a sandwich Rising Sun.
