Ate dinner at Greens I think the word pub no longer applies it is now a bar and restaurant. Excellent food and service happy pleasant staff newly decorared relaxed atmosphere. Just the place you look for and can rarely find.Has table d'hote menu Tuesday to Thursday for dinner and a good a la carte menufrom Tuesday to Saturday both a table d'hote menu and a la carte menu plenty of choice.Closed Mondays open lunch and dinner and on Saturday and Sunday all day till 9.30pm. Best to book if possible. Also has a Secret Garden Saturday and Sunday weather permitting you can have a cream tea in the garden on inside. Just love going there.

We had a recent break in SE England, and ate in various restaurants, i felt compelled to write about Greens Restaurant, The Square in Wickham. We arrived without booking and the manageress made us feel very welcome and although they were busy, managed to fit us in. The food was excellent, very tasty and served by friendly and efficient staff. The menu was varied and all four of us had a different choice of main course with everyone agreeing the food was delicious. The selection of home made desserts were mouthwatering. We could not fault anything, I felt the restaurant prices were slight more than we had paid in other restaurants, but it really is a case of you get what you pay for and worth every penny. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants high quality food, served in lovely surroundings by attentive staff.

Food was quite good quality overall although overpriced and not the greatest of choices. Long wait inbetween courses.Veg was cold and when we pointed this out the Manageress just gave a long winded excuse instead of simply apologising. No background music and lacking in atmosphere. I would give it 6 out of 10
