Beautiful inn set in a perfect location, delicious food and the most friendly and attentive staff, couldn't have wanted any more and the cooked breakfast was unbelievably good!

Unfortunately the food took over an hour to arrive and when it did one of the orders was wrong. We went for lunch on a Saturday and booked ahead. The table was booked for 1pm. The problem seemed to be in the kitchen as other tables looked like they were waiting a long time too. Maybe they were short staffed, but I would advise you to get their early.

I have loved this traditional new forest pub for a long time, and was a bit concerned when the ownership recently passed to the new landlady -Debbie. However, I needn't have worried - the chef is retained, the very warm welcome is still there, dogs are welcome all throughout the pub (thank god!) and the beer and wine is as good as ever. I'm sure I don't need to extoliate the wonderful local produce that goes into the food, and the fantastic service - all done in a very quiet understated way. I continue to love this place, and my dog loves the fact that there are even doggy treats behind the bar. It's just fabulous!

I visited the New Forest Inn on a Friday evening, in a party of four. The pub is a delight to behold from the outside, matched equally by the welcome within. A very warm and pleasant atmosphere is maintained through the bar and restaurant. The menu was fantastic and the service excellent. The beer was very good, and a great selection of good quality wines was available. Altogether, it was a wonderful evening and a venue that I can thoroughly recommend to any discerning visitor to the New Forest
