**Highly recommended** We ate twice at the White Lion during our holiday and rarely have we had such a good pub meal - especially the very fresh sea food (do try the seafood platter). The landlord, Barry, made us feel very welcome, it's very cosy and if we are ever back in the area we will make a point of going back. Get a good appetite first by climbing nearby Pilsdon Pen or Golden Cap! The only improvement would be if they could provide wireless internet access.

I work in the white lion in broadwindsor and i think its one of the nicest pubs that i have ever been to. The staff are lovely and the locals are funny. Every one there is very easy to get on with and you will never get turned away. The owners of the pub make you feel very welcoming and will awalys make you feel comfortable. Overall its a lovely small village and a comfortable place to live in.

My wife and I visited the White Lion on a trip down to Dorset a couple of weeks ago, and i have every pleasure in writing a review for this amazing place. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left we had nothing but top quality, friendly, enthusiastic service. We had not booked but were asked to have a drink while they tried to accomodate us. Within 15 minutes we were sat at a table enjoying fantastic food and attentive waiting. The food, the staff and the setting could not have been better and we conveyed to the staff on leaving that it was the best service we had ever had anywhere. Our thanks go to the staff and owners of the White Lion and we look forward to visiting again in the near future.
