On entry, the bar lady was very warm and friendly, made us feel welcome, that was until we met the proprietors later. The atmosphere was miserable, staff serving food after 6pm did not appear to want to be there. At breakfast, the owner was very unfriendly, especially to the children, made us feel very uncomfortable, if they did not want children staying, dont advertise as a family place!! Breakfast was poor, burned food and could tell it had been sat for a while - not recommended!!

Not recommended. Drinks and meal overpriced, i had a sunday roast and the roast potatoes were hard and undercooked looking very aneamic. Stayed over night with friend which cost a very dear sum of £90. no shower facilities in room, instead down a corridor which was very open to other customers. Management were very unhelpful. However staff werent too bad Wouldn't waste time and money visting here though.

My partner and I called in here for a drink and were considering ordering some food until were saw the menu which was very limited. There were 3 tables to sit at for a drink as all the tables were set up for lunch but i dont know why because their was only about 5 people eating in the place and it was a bank holiday. it was soo quiet and there was no music therefore no atmosphere. Won't be going back!

We have just had the worst bar meal ever at this establishment. We arrived around 4-15 at the same time as one other family. We ordered soup of the day, which was a bit wishy washy but edible, at least what was left in the dish after the waitress spilt it. We then had tuna savoury sandwiches and cheese and onion sandwiches and chips. The establishments boasts 'freshly prepared food' - the bread of the sandwiches was hard to touch and curling at the ends. The cheese was a blob of rancid cottage chesse with a few bits of onion thrown on it. The side salad was made up of lettuce which was brown on the ends, onion, with bad bits on it and other 'scrappy' bits thrown together. The chips were burnt and had obviously been re warmed left overs from lunch time. The meal was totally inedible, what I did eat has made me feel sick all the way home. The service was also terrible. NOT to be recommended at all!
