My husband and I were very impressed with the Travellers Rest Inn. The room was extremely comfortable (especially the bed), the food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We are hoping to return for another visit in the not too distant future. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Inn to anyone.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Travellers Rest. The room was very warm and looked out over the rear. I did have some reservations as to being so close to the kitchen extraction chimney but had no cause to worry, even with the window open we never had any unpleasant smells. The food was good and served very quickly and the no smoking policy was fab, wish more were like it. Breakfast was very good and again the service was quick. We will certainly be back.

We stayed at The Travellers Rest for 3 nights. The location is beautiful although there is some traffic noise (which we knew about before we booked). Our room was a double en suite and was adequate for our needs. I think the big plus to this Inn is that it is totally non smoking and serves excellent quality beautifully presented food. We ate from the Sunday lunch menu and the Christmas menu..3 courses for about £16. We found all the staff both friendly and efficient. Would certainly recommend this Inn especially if you can get an out of season special offer.

Although the food was good at the T/R I would strongly advise against going there if you expect any kind of decent customer service. While the wait staff try to be friendly - you can't help but feel the stress and tension between them and managment, not worth the price I'm afraid to say.
