Was supposed to be staying the night at what is rated a 4* Bed & Breakfast accomodation and was dissappointed on arrival. The accomodation was small and dull and FREEZING!!!! Baring in mind it was February no heating had been put on in our room which are in an outside building. The room was so cold we decided to put the heater on and go for a drink in the hope that it would warm up. After about 2 and a half hours we returned to the room and it was still so cold. I sat fully clothed under the duvet and it was still freezing, we decided that we would not be able to enjoy a night away somewhere that was so cold and with the temperature drop overnight it was only going to get worse so we went home. We explained how cold it was and was not offered any additional heating or blankets or REFUND. Just totally dissappoitning! I would not go back. The pub itself looked nice, we did not eat so could not comment although drinks were quite expensive. Aside of the cold the room itself was not a 4* in comparison to others I have stayed in.

Went on speck, short notice to visit air museum. Excellent accomodation. Food top class. Would recommend it. Full of character. Will definately visit this year.

Can't speak for the whole of the Barleycorn lunch-time menu but their expensive 'open sandwiches' are definitely best avoided. Cheese and pickle consisted of two great unappetising doorsteps of dry white bread - one covered with grated cheese, the other with lettuce and a bit of tomato and yellow pepper. Plus a little pot of pickle. We asked for some butter and it was slammed on the table by the surly barman as though this was some sort of no-butter establishment. Service with a snarl. We won't be returning in a hurry.
