We are surprised by your comments as the they are always so helpful at the shop. They do close for the afternoon on Sundays so maybe you caught them after hours.
We visit the Time Share in Rannoch a couple of times a year so know the place and the people well. They have just spent 3 days doing repair work inside the shop but kept it open for a few hours a day for "emergency" supplies which they did not have to - much appreciated by all.

I visit Rannoch often and for a remote location, the shop serves the area very well with the staff always willing to help - shame, you probably arrived on a Sunday afternnon when they do close early (the only day of the week though)- I guess they need a break sometime.

I cycled through the snow to this shop today. The lights were on when I put my bike outside the shop but were put out when I opened the door. The shopkeeper said "we're shut" and err that was that. I am sure that my tourist pounds will be spent elsewhere now but they obviously aren't needed in this remote location.
